Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual was the winner of a public call for specialized companies to organize development labs for projects selected in the open calls PRODAV 04/2013 and PRODAV 04/2014 of the Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual – FSA (Audiovisual Sectoral Fund). It organized, between 2016 and 2018, eight development laboratories in the following categories: fiction series, animated series, documentary series, fiction feature films and animated feature films.
- PRODAV 04/2013: Project development of serialized works of the animation type and Project development of serialized works of the fiction type.
- PRODAV 04/2014: Project development of non-serialized works of the animation type, Project development of serialized works of the animation type, Project development of non-serialized works of the fiction type I, Project development of non-serialized works of the fiction type 2, Project development of serialized works of the documentary type and Project development of serialized works of the fiction type.
These laboratories occurred in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre and were responsible for the development of 103 projects by filmmakers from all regions in Brazil, throughout three weeks of in person activities interspersed with online tutorship sessions. All of the activities were coordinated by renowned consultants from the audiovisual market and also counted on assistance from market agents like programmers and TV executives, film distributors and representatives from major studios.
