Workshops and labs

BrLab

BrLab is an annual event dedicated to the audiovisual market, with training initiatives through different simultaneous workshops and laboratories aimed at prospective films in the development, financing and editing stages.

With 15 years of experience, BrLab receives projects from all over Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula and Italy and promotes different workshops and international meetings in its program, including workshops on project development, editing, and co-production meetings, as well as several activities open to the public such as industry meetings, lectures and debates, held in person and broadcast online in order to promote the event’s democratization and accessibility.

PRODAV Labs

Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual was the winner of a public call for specialized companies to organize development labs for projects selected in the open calls PRODAV 04/2013 and PRODAV 04/2014 of the Fundo Setorial do Audiovisual – FSA (Audiovisual Sectoral Fund). It organized, between 2016 and 2018, eight development laboratories in the following categories: fiction series, animated series, documentary series, fiction feature films and animated feature films.

Courses

Between 2007 and 2010, in partnership with Cultura Inglesa, Klaxon was responsible for the development and production of professional training workshops and lectures by professionals from the international audiovisual industry, always as part of the Cultura Inglesa Festival’s programme.
