Retrospective of the work of Hungarian multimedia artist and filmmaker Péter Forgács. The selection included the works that made him internationally renowned, such as the films from “Private Hungary”. Through the use of archive, homemade and amateur footage, the series reconstructs a panorama of Hungary between the 1920s and 1960s, from its time under Nazi control to the Soviet years. Both Forgács and film researcher Bill Nichols went to Brazil during the program to participate in debates with the public.
Screened at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil in São Paulo in 2022 sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Banco do Brasil.
